Hospitality

He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigners residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt

Deuteronomy 10:18-19

In August 2015, we began to consider how we, as the body of Christ, may respond to the Syrian refugee crisis. After a few months of praying, then support raising, we discerned that God was inviting us into a ministry of welcome and refugee settlement. Working in partnership with the Mennonite Central Committee, F3C became a private sponsorship group to a family from Syria. Because of this relationship, God has begun a work of transformation in the life of F3C by opening our hearts to His generosity and care for the some of the most vulnerable peoples in our world today.

We completed our sponsorship in the fall of 2017 and have closed our Refugee Fund. However, we remain open to the possibility of refugee sponsorship in the future.
